Tiguan passed it's second MOT this morning. No advisories at all. Mind you I've done just under 5,000 miles since the last MOT. I didn't drive it for seven weeks remember due to my operation in February of this year. Sometimes it's more difficult to get lightly-used vehicles through an MoT than those that have a steady, regular use. For example, brakes up here in this neck-of-woods definitely like to be used every second day!!

My low miles V40 apparently had to have front discs and pads for its last service/MOT despite only doing 1k miles that year, probably due to corrosion

Bought the Tiguan two years ago today. Where has the time gone? Had my 19 plate Passat Est now for 4 and a bit yrs now....still less than 25k on the clock...Barely run in I s'pose But its had 2 tyres on the front, front and rear discs and pads, serviced every year... I guess by the time it gets to 5 yrs old it will need timing belt and dsg fluid change?

The Tiguan will be five years old next May and it's also due a cambelt and water pump change as well as it's five year service. It's only done just under 20k on the clock and I didn't use it early on this year for seven weeks due to my operation. Tyres the originals and apart from yearly servicing nothing else been done to it apart from drivers side window switch broke. We are pleased with it and the fuel economy is around 35/36 local average and I can get 40/44 on a good run.
