I refer the honourable gentleman to the image above 😂 Just seen super unleaded at £1.71…. £2 by the end of the year they recon 😞 Yes we are all being shafted and it's going to get worse. Hopefully not, just been reported that the price of oil has just drastically dropped

Booked the Tiguan in for a service at my local VW Dealer for Monday 21st March first thing . Service chap tried selling me a two year service plan. I was having non of it bless. Is that where they actually service it every two years, and just charge you for the service (and to listen to the radio) inbetween?

Minor Service recommended every 12 months or 10,000 miles. Major Service recommended every 2 years or 20,000 miles.

Honestly couldn't make below up my flabber has never been so gasted. Last night (Friday about five PM I gets a phone call from my local VW Dealer to check I'm bringing the Tiguan in for it's oil service and inspection. Me---------- Yes at 08.30 as it's booked in. VW............. No it's booked in for 11.00 if you bring it in at 08.30 you will have a long wait. Me............. No it's booked in for 08.30 as I was in your premises when the service chap booked it in and received a text message conformation on my mobile phone. So this morning I rang my local VW Dealer and asked to speak to somebody in the Service Dept. Me.......... Hello can you confirm what time on Monday 21st March my VW Tiguan reg no ---- --- is booked in. VW ........... It's booked in for 08.30 Me......... That's what was arranged on the Tuesday 8th March 2022. So why did I get a phone called last night about five PM telling me my time was 11.00 am and not what was booked into your system? VW........ I'm sorry I can't answer that question. Me........ VW don't fill me with confidence especially if you can't get the administration side right so I'll cancel my 08:30 booking for Monday and take my custom elsewhere. VW........ You want to cancel your booking now. Me......... Yes almost definitely. VW........ OK we will cancel your booking. Me........ Thank you goodbye. About two hours after I get a text message. VW........... Just a reminder that your vehicle is due in with us on 21/03/2022. We look foward to seeing you. Kind regards VW. Yes forward is spelt wrong. Went to my normal garage at lunch time but he's shut till Monday so I'll pop round then and see when they can fit me in.

Finally had the Tiguan serviced yesterday at my local Indy garage. Used VW parts and oil spec from TPS and reset the service indicator. It's on a Flexible service schedule but I might change it to fixed service schedule next year as flexible schedule is every two years or so depending on mileage etc. I'm not leaving the oil in for two years.

Had the Tiguan twelve months today. Doesn't time fly? or is it me getting old?

If you were to swap out the frankly pants XC40 for a slightly older XC60, then that would be the one to go for IMO The XC40 is a poorly built, cheaply built, barsteward child of Volvo. The 2013-17 are the 'sweet spot' but the 2017-on are worth keeping hold of - except the hybrids.
Ignore me, just looked at the date of the original post...

Tiguan passed it's second MOT this morning. No advisories at all. Mind you I've done just under 5,000 miles since the last MOT. I didn't drive it for seven weeks remember due to my operation in February of this year.
