Prices are starting to rise again just paid £109.9/per Litre near me for unleaded. So much for my prediction of a £1 a Litre a few months ago.

The oil market is probably getting jittery over Libya. ISIS are asking higher barrel prices than Gadaffi....

I filled the Tiguan up on Friday (22/10/21) E10 @ £139.9p/ltr compared to when I had it delivered at £132.9p/ltr three weeks before (1/10/21). That's an increase of 7p/ltr in three weeks.

I've just ordered 500ltrs of heating oil, and the price was about 54p/litre. Not as high as I've seen it (I paid 59p a few years back) but a fair bit higher than usual. Looks like the economy getting back in to (nearly) full swing and possibly stations having to order and pay for fuel on different timescales to normal (i.e. paying upfront not on account).

I’m surprised you’re using e10? Why? It's a knee jerk attempt at cleaner air, ethanol absorbs water and we're now in the damp season. Water and injectors / fuel pumps etc don't mix. You'll get a smoother running engine, improved MPG, faster warm up and potentially less wear and tear on your fuel system and engine with super U/L. 10% water in your beer, yes or no?

I'll revert to E5 next time I fill up. I'll check to see if there's any improvement in terms of MPG or faster warm up. Average of 33 on E10.

There's no way I could afford that sort of consumption up here, not at £1.50/ltr with the rural discount for Highland region.
Anything not doing at-least 45mpg (unless it's a classic Rover ) is off to China......
