Read a few good reviews for this tool, which is basically a Launch X431 pro mini (Software only/VCi version)from what I can tell, with bi-directional and special functions, graphing data etc Just provide your own tablet/phone Obviously Chinese developed, but might be a cheap starter tool for somebody thinkdiag.co.uk/

So I pulled the trigger on this sub £200 scan tool!!!!
It's surprisingly good, once you get past all the connectivity stuff
It will read the VIN and ID the car
Scan all modules on the vehicle
Display/graph live data (loads of it)
Actuator tests on lots of modules including KOER tests with data
Special functions including DPF Regen/BMS/ABS bleed/TPMS and a fair bit more including IMMO
You get 2 years "access all area" to the Thinkdiag app and the dongle
You need an Android device (tablet is good size for it) with Google playstore or apk to download it and log into to the app
The support is pretty good, there is chat within the app and they reply directly
If you search around you might get 20% off discount code (£160)
The link in the previous post is a good place to purchase and Emma will help with any log in issues etc via email
I've never used a Launch X431 before, but this is essentially what it is just in app form
It's not perfect, and takes a bit of getting used to after windows based tools but it does do what they say it will, and it's very fast👍

I got a Genuine Launch X431 Euro PRO 5 LITE - on approval here at the moment.
Had it about three weeks out of the month it will be here.
The buying in cost with two years warranty and two years update is: £2154.00 (inc VAT).
Updates are £594 (inc VAT)
To be honest the coverage is very much the same as Autel/GScan.
Plus is has loads of other manufacturers on it I will never see in the UK.
I can't make my mind up - if I going to...?
Buy it? (the Launch @ £2154 2yr deal)
Buy an Autel 908? non pass thru (MS908 @ £2400 can only get 1yr update deal)
Or just update my GScan lite? (£445 for a year)
On paper the Launch looks a better option - I think.
But been meaning to ask Givusaclue where he got the two year deal for the Autel?
What I do know is - I am going to be standing back from my commitment to Bosch ESi & Delphi. I have paid for our Bosch KTS to be locked/non timeout.
I think the main three players for a general workshop scan tool are now Autel/Launch/GScan for sure.

Ouch. That has shot up since I bought mine 10 odd years ago. Don't think they offer the support for mine now

The Autel 908 continues to provide a reassuring back-up to my workshop....where the Autocom CDP+ is still a bit shakey on some makes. I didn't have a great time on the 2015 CR-V on Monday this week, and had to fall back onto the 908 as an emergency, although the CDP+ would have got there in the end.
The Autocom is let down by one main thing; Windows 10
Let's hope that I see the day when they ditch this awful OS for a decent Linux distro. I would recommend OpenSUSE with the KDE Plasma desktop. Very stable, very professional, very "not Windows or MacOS or anything else that props-up the West Coast of the USA with restrictive little things to go wrong all the time"

I use it with Ford VCM2
But you can buy an interface for about £25
I pay for subscription only about £12 a year
But it is free if you don’t wanna do programming
