General problem with both Autel and Autocom today. Same Mitsubishi Outlander as before (mentioned above), but this time, injector coding.
Both tools will read the injectors, but neither seems to be able to get the ECU to take a new code on the replaced #2 injector I have installed. Each has a good try, and the injector codes that each is reading are valid for what is/was currectly fitted, but as soon as you press the button to flash the code into the ECU, an error message comes back - each tool has its unique way of informing you of this, but the meaning is much the same!
It is probably the ECU at fault here, and I need to do some more research to see what the procedure should be to get around this problem, but so far the Autocom is doing things as well, and sometimes better, than the Autel.

Don't know if this helps, but maybe www.dencodiesel.com/pages/coding-common-rail-injectors-and-pilot-relearn

Thanks for this - I did come across this last night as well, but skipped over one important point that the Denco site makes : Removing the battery supply from the car prior to learning and programming.
It might just work, I will give that a try.
The Autocom CDP+ screen for this function on Mitsubishi is almost identical to the Denco site, and I will have to look and see if I have overlooked that important tip above - I may have!
The Autel has no such information at all, but does have one important feature that helps in this scenario : The tablet has a "history" drop-down list for the input functions, so you don't have to type the 30-alphanumeric code each time, you can just review and ammend any mistakes, whereas the Autocom input screen seems to have no such option - cut & paste via Clipboard is the best way here.

Well, sadly it didn't work (for either tool) to disconnect the battery, short the car out for 20mins (cup of tea), and try again.
I re-checked the Autocom CDP+, and it really does omit to mention this as a possibility, so only the Denco website mentions that - I had hoped it might work.
I am going to have to go back to the customer and see what they want to do - if they care, as the engine otherwise runs smoothly, but sounds like a bag of spanners from the timing case at idle (it did this before my work!) and therefore does not impart the greatest confidence in me for longevity at this stage. Shame really, as the repair itself is 100% successful, and not a glimmer of blow-by gas from the injector seats now.
