Next jobs for our fleet are Focus ST, Por15 the front and rear subframes followed by a good wax oiling of the underside. Escort is having 2 new rear wheel bearings, a set of braided brake hoses, brake fluid change and the calipers and drums painted. (hopefully next Sat) and a brake fluid change. Out of interest Stu what make of discs and pads do you fit to your ST?

I've not had to change any on it in the time we've owned it. When the time comes I will price up genuine and then see what my factors can do, they normally supply brake world, national or juratek.
My focus can have whatever really, probably brake world or Juratek.

Are you sure the new Fabia doesn't have one shot electric windows? Have you tried the reset procedure from the older model? Definatly not one-shot. With one-shot windows you will feel a resistance as you push the switch and when you push past the resistance the glass will travel the rest of the way automatically. The switches in the new Fabia are just plain up and down. However I tried the reset as you suggested. I presume you mean letting down the window and holding down the switch for ten seconds, then letting up the window and holding up the switch for ten seconds. There was no joy, they are not "one shot".

Just thought I would bump this thread as it's been quiet of late for a couple of months. My every day Mondeo ST220 is running nicely except the drivers headlight seal has started to perish and I'm trying to source another one but can't find an alternative aftermarket to going to my local Ford dealer. Anybody any idea if they are Main Dealer only? Had a look at the n/s one and that might get replaced as well depending on how much they are. Cossie running ok after my alarm gremlins and the n/s rear caliper replaced. Also need to get my two polished before winter sets in it's going darker earlier now. So how's everyone's fleet doing.

What do you mean by " headlight seal " ?
I take it you mean the rear access panel , if so I'm willing to bet £1 that it's only available with the headlamp

The fiesta is all good , been logging my mpg avg 46.3 😍😇
Just fitted some street ka alloy wheels today to it , only trouble is now it looks like big foot so will have to save for some lowering springs
Oh and "repaired" the leaking rear silencer for now

I'll take a photo tomorrow and post it up where it screws along the top of front panel.

Pictures of the O/S headlight and seal. If as Karl recons it's not available separately I'll see if I can find a better second hand one instead of spending a few bob buying a new headlight. I have tidied it up as it was blowing in the wind at speed.

Her Scirocco has been trouble free for 6 months since we bought it - we did go for a full service, timing belt change and aircon regas soon afterwards, all fluid levels remain the same and she likes it The golf estate is my daily now after being parked up for over a year, failed its mot on exhaust brackets broken (welded) and front flexis (renewed and NSF hardline replaced too as it got damaged removing the flexis). Turbo boost is hit and miss ATM but has just completed 1000 miles touring pasty land a week ago. 2 X Corrados SORN Her old A3 SORN siting around waiting for time to break it. The plasterers have skimmed mums house (artexed ceiling now smooth and all walls now only need paint rather than wallpaper)and we're all hands on deck painting it ready for sale - mixed emotions 3 Months ago today since she passed away.
