How to tell your lazy...
The clock on my Focus is about 2 minutes out. I'm not bothering to fix it until Sunday so I don't have to do it twice

Clock on my Defender is still on GMT from last winter. I never got around to putting it forward to BST. Maybe I’ll do that tonight… LOL!

Been their got the t shirt. Done a few in my time working a 12 hour shift pattern. Even better when the clocks go forward an hour when you are on a 12 hour night shift so it's swings and roundabouts. Having said that if your relief forgets to put the clock forward you aint to happy. Once did fourteen twelve hour nights on the trot as there was only two of us at the time due to holidays and sickness so my work colleague did fourteen twelve hour days and I did the nights. We got paid the appropriate pay for working our days off etc and my children at the time where both of school age so the extra money came in handy.

Must tell healthwise - constant "jet lag" - is how I see it (not explaining myself very well).

I'm in my 30th year of shift work - it wasn't planned . I've done more 13 hour nights than I have 11 hour and if you're on days on the back of the 11 hour night you lose an hours sleep...... I've said this will be my last winter of shift work, I'm 56 in December and want to find a van driving job - shift work is for young people, the trouble is they don't want it or have more modern skills meaning they can choose a 9-5 mon - fri existence.

I want a Mon-Fri 9-5 existance mate - but I can't get it - it just don't pay the bills in my line of work! Yes, been there as well, got the T-shirt. Would also like a 5-day week, not 6 or 7. Fat chance.
Working for other people is a far easier option - tell them where to get off when the hours creep upwards without reward.
When I was a bit younger, I had a regular round of ultra-long weeks - every time an engine homologation came round, you could guarantee you needed to cover both early and late-shift on the testbed team, in case anything went wrong (it always did), then you would spend another 2hours afterwards analysing the data. 18hour days, for a fortnight. All on a standard 37-hour wage......happy days.....
