I've used a couple of holiday days up this week as its a bit quiet at work, so we have done a lot of sweeping up and cleaning up, also a few tip runs again too. The bathroom is now making good progress. First fix plumbing is in, Then the tilers have boarded the bathroom Then the bath was fitted by the plumber, managed to get him here today as the bathrom is getting tiled tomorrow. We finished off by putting the hole through the wall for the extractor fan. The house is now hopefully over the tipping point so should only improve from here on.

Bathroom is progressing well, just waiting on the floor to be tiled and I need to chase up the people from the suspended ceiling place near us. Once the floor is tiled and the ceiling is in we can finish the bathroom. Really pleased with how its taking shape. Hopefully a decent house will get a decent tenant. The garden should be getting cleared on Friday, I think I might need to get another skip too as tip runs are just not practical with some stuff, think the wooden shed and a few other bits are in for the chop.

Wow Stu! What a contrast in the bathroom! You must be feeling much happier now. Yeah its coming on well, a lot of work to go yet though. We had the rear garden cleared yesterday as it was like a jungle. Its amazing how much bigger it looks now. The family were going to paint all the fences today but weather has stopped play. Will have to have a look tomorrow and see if there is anything I can be on with, a lot of jobs are waiting on other jobs being completed at the minute.

Kitchen and bathroom floors are now tiled. Back bedroom and living room skirting boards are painted. Mate if mine is starting wall papering tomorrow. I've prepped all the wood on the staircase for paint. My pal is gonna help me or I should say I'm gonna help him put the kitchen back together in Wednesday eve. New hob and oven are in their way.
Still a lot to do but its moving along. I'm really struggling to get the local suspended ceiling firm in to do the bathroom and kitchen. It's been 3 weeks waiting for them. I understand they are busy but its starting to take the p*ss. It's a shame as I've used them 3 times before. A plan B is needed as the bathroom can't go back till the ceiling is done so it might have to have a plastic claddded one instead.
I will get some more pics uploaded in the next day or so.
I'm sick of spending money.

This reminds me of the dyslexic plumber who put a low-level cistern in for a Lady customer. Following day, she started having hot flushes.

(With due credit to the Two Ronnies) There may be a joke in there.... But, in my new house, the plumber actually piped the boiler the wrong way round..! The cold feed was swapped with the hot outlet....( have a think about what happens.... Answers on a post card..)

I've been a bit slack updating this thread, partly as just so busy.
The electrics are ready for testing. Most of the kitchen and bathroom are complete. Window sills are hopefully getting fitted at weekend and some re trimming around the windows in upvc where required. Once the electrics are passed off all floor boards can be properly secured and the carpet fitters will be in next week. The adjoining fence to the other neighbours is being replaced with a entire new set up later this week.
I've booked net week off to hopefully get the last bits sorted and a couple of agents in to try and get it let. Thisnk we will need a small skip to get shut of any remaining junk.
As soon as its let my Gas man will sort gas safety certificate.
I will do a video walk around when its finished and link it to this thread.
I truly cannot thank the relations that have helped enough, such a massive help!

Its pretty much done, agents are photographing it tomorrow as I've gave them a set of keys today.
I will link some pics or the advert.
If I'm honest i'm sick of the sight of the place. Its a nice house though and I wold be happy to live there myself. Had to laugh to myself today as I've spoken to the agents a few times and when I went to drop the keys off I was in my work wear/scruffs, woman at the agents looked me up and down and asked could she help, I said yeah here are the keys for my property lol.

That's the best I can do at the moment. Its been let now, new peeps move in next Friday. That was quick. Accommodation really must be in short supply these days - it used to be that you would have a few weeks of "tyre-kickers" before a rent went through. Your agents must be fairly slick, all the same.
I'm pleased for you, and I hope it all goes well with the new neighbours!
