I was going to say you need to check shim clearance But then saw you have new

Is there much work to make the inlets fit?
And are you going to change the compression ratio with the uprated gasket to suit Or do they run ok on standard compression

I'm using a focus rs mk1 inlet and top hat so that should be pretty straight forward.
I have the adapter plate to allow fitment of the cvh turbo exhaust manifold.
The compression ratio has been calculated by someone with the zetec head, st170 bottom end and the genunine ford head gasket for a focus rs mk1 thats had a head skim (1.8mm gasket) It works out 8.9:1
Unfortunately the gasket has been on back order for ages and had me stopped dead in my tracks, so I had to opt for a cometic head gasket 1.5mm thick, so not as thick as the ford item but I have the addded advantage that my head is a virgin head whereas a lot of the people who have gone this route get a head from the breakers yard, so I should still be somewhere near the 8.9:1
The mapper will map the engine to suit, he's also said if my comp ratio is slightly higher I will be fine as I'm only going to be running a cosworth 4x4 spec T3 turbo at a maximum of about 18psi boost.

Sumps back with me today after I collected it from the engineers today. Rear breather port. turbo oil return (might shorten the fitting a little) Focus Rs inlet elbow modded to accept the cosworth type a.c.t sensor. (as I use this sensor for my ecu) This has been helicoiled. Couldn't really be arsed doing anything else then had a sudden burst of enthusiasm so went in the garage for a hours or so.

Forgot to say is that the old water pump?
Seems silly to spend all that dollar and not have a new one too?
And what oil pump? Do you need a rs version (if there is such a one)

Its the st170 water pump, I might replace that so I know its new, oil pump is the st170 used item that came with the engine, I need to get a oil pick up gasket and a set of inlet manifold bolts next.

This is the rocker cover I'm going to be using, I've added an additional port for the breather system so my uprated breather can be piped up in the same way as the cvh was.

Cvh turbo engine is now removed, gearbox is coming out tomorrow too.
Just fitted a brand new genuine water pump and pulley and a new genuine crankshaft pulley.
The old steel oil pan is going on tomorrow. New one to be fitted once engines in.
The cvh flywheel is back from the machine shop, bolt holes enlarged to fit the zetec flywheel bolts
Modified engine mount has been sprayed black today, will be fitted to the engine tomorrow evening.
Hope to have the zetec and gearbox in on wednesday morning.

Thought I would give a bit of a update, various things have not fitted properly, various obstacles to overcome, but we hope to have it running in time for ford fair in august. The timing belt tensioner was sitting a bit to close to the engine mount ledge so this has now been modded using a dremmel, and uprated gearbox mounts to keep the engine/box still. Before How the bay is starting to look, Turbo is on its way back to me anytime now so I hope to get that fitted, wiring should be getting done on thursday, I'm struggling to get the bottom hose sorted at the minute, its a real pain in the ass, but I hope to have it sorted by the weekend. Oh and whatever I thought this conversion was gonna cost, I reckon its trippled.

11th august for fordfair@ silverstone. I keep getting set backs finacially which haven't helped me get the escort done quicker. lol Timing belt and water pump on the wifes st, 2 goodyears on the same car and tonight I've just discovered that the n/s/f shocker has shat itself so looks like I will be footing the bill for that next too.
