That's the same sort of thing and blade as the B&Q one I listed above.. How much use unitl you need a new blade though?

I think the literature reckons something like 1000 cuts before changing the blade.....but as the blade is carbide tipped they can be sharpened....as long as the teeth are not damaged.....

Thanks for that..Yours just does straight cuts? I'm tempted by the B&Q one, most of the reviews are good..same blade as yours..I've found the blades as cheap as £22 online.. I need to do 45 degree cuts in mild steel..

Roobie.... Mine has an adjustable mitre guide/clamp thingy so you can cut different angles not just straight cuts....
They are quite a versatile machine....

Any more progress? What's the top made of? I'm now rubbing down and prepping the frame, the top is loosely laid on..It's some American hardwood from packing crates Didn't do anything yesterday due to eye trouble, suspected arc eye..Got eye drops so I'm having a break from it for a few days
