With the number of classics I get I've been chasing down an original X431 as not only will it talk to just about anything with a plug, it also comes in a fake leatherette case, sort of a diagnostic handbag Scored a bargain on an 'bay auction, described as home use only it's in brilliant condition with all the bits supplied (to the UK market) unused and even a real paper manual, so chuffed with that.
Because I got such a good deal on it thought I'd get a handheld 'scope, just a handheld for the times when I don't want to spend 5 mins setting up the Pico.
Really impressed with it so far, I'll do a bit of a review when I've got it on a car. Bought a silicone cover that might be persuaded to fit but for 99p I'm not bothered if it does not !

I followed your link elsewhere for the 'scope, and was quite impressed with the features. I cannae justify it for my business (I almost refuse to move instrumentation out of the workshop these days), but it could happily sit on my Xmas list for a year or two....

Another tool in my arsenal of crusty old scanners. Just need to find a North American card for it and I can calibrate that Cadillac !
This one was not a bargain but hope to get moneys worth out of it with some Saab/ Old Vauxhall support on the island.

Bargain of the week ! My low amp clamp is on it's way out, it was a budget Hantek anyway and it's getting a bit temperamental. .. and most importantly it has auto power off (which can be overridden)!
I even splurged out on a banana to BNC converter. Must be Christmas

I quite often have to go the other way with my Pico clamps, if I want to use them with the Fluke meters, so I would go as far as to say this is more useful as-bought!

Nothing exciting for me:
I need a new multimeter - my favorite Facom 711 - took a soaking this week.

I'm slowing down on buying more tools, however I have bought a rechargeable head torch.
Also a spare 5.5mm 1/4" drive socket which I have drilled a hole through to accept a metal rod. The hope is this will now make Fiat 500 cabin filters a lot easier to replace.

Almost like the wife knew I needed another test light for Xmas, to go with the other one.. and the spare one... and the one for "best" just in case the Queen's landy breaks down..

That's good news I'll take a look for one - it came with a screw on alligator clip but don't see much use for those, and I already replaced the tail end battery clip with a stackable banana as per my other one. Then it can hook up to my homemade extension reel and/or vice grips. The battery always seems to be at the other end of the car !
