The focus I bought for the other half. It's keeping the local garage in business, and is currently sat in cirencester waiting for the very nice man to try and get it started. Piece of crap! She loves it though, or it would have been gone ages ago

My Alfa 146. Bought at 10 yrs old with history for £1800. It needed over the course of a year:
Clutch slave cyl (the day after I bought it) New exhaust (one piece from behind the CAT to the tailpipe, £350+ fitting) New sump (Alfa fitted a downpipe protector using steel studs in to an alloy sump, hit the studs and crack goes the sump) Suspension arm New clutch (bearing went through the presusre plate) New plugs (£80!) handbrake cables (as they would get water in and freeze over) Headlamp self levelers never worked
And many, many more. Binned it after a year.

Bought is Pissrat estate 8 years ago, when we bought our house. Was supposed to be the ideal car to take rubbish to the dump and transport to b&q. Spent more time broken down than in use. Used for a few thousand miles and sold on for a few hundred quid

My 1996 Nissan 200sx S14... Spent £10k on it, 360bhp, all the right bits (no crap bodykits or whatever) just a fast, reliable car. And 15 (at best) MPG to suit..
I loved that car... It just broke me! I stripped it and sold the lot in a bid to make the most money back.. Never again!

Many years ago. Rover P6, the head gasket blew, the ali head was corroded away, done all that started it up the drive plate went box out, new drive plate, the exhaust down pipe went. it was one thing after the other so:- Ended up stripping out the reclining seats for my mk2 cortina and sending it to the scrappy. (this was in 1978)

The focus... is currently sat in cirencester waiting for the very nice man to try and get it started Turned out to be a flat battery. Daughter had stayed in the car to keep warm while herself went round supermarket. She turned the ign on but didn't start it to run the heater and have the stereo on. She didn't realise the heater don't get hot without the engine running. Of course I'm far to nice to take the p*ss even a little bit... sent from my HTC using proboards android app
