Hi,
I have a 2010 Seat Exeo and need to turn off the seat airbag light. After some research I've found this can be done with a resistor however I'm not sure what ohm resistor I need and what wires need connecting with the resistor.
So, I have 2 questions:
1. What ohm resistor would I need for this? 2. What two wires do I need to put the resistor across?
Really grateful for any advice regarding this.
Thanks.

Good morning
Frankly, the only advice I can give you is do not do this
Get the system properly diagnosed by a professional, rather than try and bodge it. Remember you are dealing with explosives here, and if you get it wrong its very possible you'll set the other airbags off, which is rather destructive and expensive.

Also, quick tip, don't try and measure the resistance across the wires to the airbag with a multimeter, unless of course you're looking for an excuse to change your underwear

There’s also the insurance implication….
A bodged safety system could prejudice a claim in the event of an accident …is it really worth it?

Boom
I remember setting two airbags off in my garden that I wanted to dispose off. They went 20 feet in the air. Gave my Daughters a giggle.
