How does this apply to us if we not in the EU anymore?
I hate bureaucrats who come up with these stupid ideas…

So who is going to stop me from mending my cars?
Will they sends the boys round to break my legs?
Fecking bureaucrats…
Tbh, anyone who has a car that is mot exempt won’t be affected or will they?

How will I get to work?
What would all the employees of garages then work on?
Classic scene?
I read somewhere there’s 750k jobs in the uk around used cars and their upkeep
Once EVs hit a certain saturation point this B/S will disappear
One car / van doesn’t fit all requirements does it?

The only way I can see something like this working (an it isn't going to work, not in my lifetime) is if this impacts on the supply-lines for those major components that are mentioned in the articles. To be frank, if there's a demand for major-units, there's a trade waiting in the wings to supply it.
I saw something about this the other day, but I was so dismissive of it, I forgot to post it on here !
There seems to be a lot of "confrontational" journalism going-on at the moment, and I suspect a lot of it originates in Russia. What better way to demoralize a continent than post c**p about how everyone's lives are going to be radically changed by an unelected bunch of technically-illiterate eigits? They know they are losing the fight over EV's (there's nothing China would like better than an enforced regime of EV's, so perhaps they have also been busy on the keyboards?) so they have to find something else to wind-up the thinking-public over.

I would agree - in "the long game" - EV's will go the the way of LPG cars - come and go.
