My car suddenly started juddering and then stopped and wouldn't start, the garage had told me if was the fuel pump however after changing the fuel pump nothing changed, they then later called to say that all fuel injectors will need replacing due to swarf going down the line?
I was then given a different interpretation of my case as shown in the email below, my question is have I been ripped off and where parts replaced when they weren't needed and is swarf as actual problem with a petrol car?
Once we started the investigate the concerns we initially found that there was no fuel pressure on the high pressure system. This would of led to believe that it was the high pressure fuel pump failure, which is why we asked for authorisation to replace. After replacing the high pressure fuel pump the fuel pressure was back to full bar pressure but the vehicle still had further concern i.E. The vehicle still had a misfire and kept stalling all the time. Hence why Tash has said that the fuel pump hasn’t completely cured the issue with the vehicle. This is where the misinterpretation may of come from. After this situation the vehicle was allocated to a senior master technician to carry on the more in depth investigation that was required. We did proceed to check your vehicle with another fuel pressure tester to clarify that the new fuel pump was working accurately and that furl pressure was back to make sure that this part was faulty. As a result of the further checks by the master technician we established that the vehicle required 4 fuel injectors because they appeared to be blocked and the and timing control valve gauze was torn.
Thank koh
