Attachment DeletedHi I have a suzuki swift booster jet 2018 that I am salvaging parts from. I have had difficulty today trying to remove the rear hub bearing assembly I eventually got it off but the back plate also came with it,this looks like its siezed on with rust and I was hoping for some tips on removing it from the backplate ...any help would be appreciated thanks.I can add a photo if I can work out hiw to post one .

It depends on which bit you want to keep - if both, put in a bucket with diesel & petrol for a few days, if just the hub, then heat the backplate.

Thanks for the reply,i would like to try and keep both but the bearing is more important to me ..

Then soak it in petrol & diesel in a bucket for a few days, get a broad chisel and blunt the end on a grinder, then place it as close to the hub as you can and tap all round, as soon as you start getting a gap, work either side of it to release the backplate.
