Hi everyone iv just picked my 2009 Astra 1.9cdti up from the garage , I booked it in for an oil and filter change and a fuel filter change and one drop link , when I got there they told me they couldn’t change the fuel filter as they could not open the box , so he charged me £120 for the drop link and oil change only
iv just opened the bonnet after driveing 7 miles home and everything is covered in a layer of oil , the air filter box the fuse box the battery and the engine cover. ,does anyone no what they have done please

When I opened bonnet I noticed the oil cap on engine was not fully tightened, only by less than a quarter turn I would say 1 8th of a turn Is this enough to make it leak Please

Take it back and politely ask that they clean it.

Take it back and politely ask that they clean it. .....and that they check & correct the oil-level afterwards
