Hi My name is Nico, I recently got a MX 6 and need some help. For about a year now I have been struggling to find, and fix, a problem that causes my revs to dip every now and then. I am not knowledgeable enough to tinker myself, but can follow instructions. However, "how to" videos on the Mazda MX 6 are not easy to come by. I need someone to troubleshoot with me as most mechanics in my area has refused to work on the car because they do not have the correct error code reader.
When the car is in idle, foot off the clutch, the revs will drop to about 200 RPM an then return to 1000 RPM. This happens every 2 seconds or so continuously. If the car is in motion it drives normal. If I rev the car to 2000 RPM, it will fall down to 200 RPM before picking back up to 1000 RPM.
If anyone can help me I would be very thankfull.

When was the last time the Car was serviced?
Your problem could be any number of things?
Air leak, worn spark plugs, dirty throttle body etc etc
