Newbie here from the wild west of Canada, formerly from way up North in the bush.
Started my career as a hobbyist, worked as HD mechanic, was asked to become a VW mechanic (so I did), took a wee break (moved WAY North), started fixing and racing bikes (flat track and speedway), ran VW dealership, moved South and did air cooled and later non-VW restos, built commercial airboats, did the oil re-refining, blending, packaing plant, distribution thing, had a side gig fixing mechanical side of large power transformers (still do that) and now want to build trailer axles/brakes/suspension as a "retirement" business. Fiddle around an awful lot with diesels.

Hi and welcome….
I have relatives in Canada, Raymond/Alb.
This is a Brit based forum, so our responses may not coincide with terminology your side of the pond.
