cheaper end valve spring compressor

after recommendations for a lower end valve spring compressor lots on ebay and the like but any anyones actually bought dont want it to break fist use need it to do at least 8 dont mind spending a bit if i have to though

You'll find lots of old ones that have survived many years (because they wont fit modern multi valve cylinder heads with hydraulic followers) almost given away free on ebay / fb

with the ammount of stuff ive been given over the years im suprised ive not got one allready to be honest !

Might be worth asking the guy you got your spares off? Fb group?

You could possibly use a G clamp, might need a small piece of pipe with a slot cut in it to go over the top of the valve assembly….

Size wise I’d say try an 8 or 10 in G clamp….I can’t remember how big a Reliant cyl head is….

You can remove the valves easily, by placing a socket over the top of the valve collet assembly, with the valve head resting on a small block of wood, and hitting the socket with a hammer……usually works….A spring comp will be needed to reassemble….
