Qucik update and I must stress I havnt seen the car or what he has done, but apparentley he has managed to remove the offending item with some screwfix extractors......thats all the info I have, apart from the car is running fine.... www.screwfix.com/p/stud-extractor-set-8-pc/20084and the car hasnt been serviced since being bought from the dealer over six years ago.....and I doubt very much they put new plugs in it then, so there is every chance theyre original from new.....

Definately more luck than judgement he claims to know a lot about everything but when it comes down to doing the job,he will cock it up, not that I know much and my apologies chaps, its EIGHT years since its had a service.....

I managed to do the same thing on an M plate Fiesta many years back....I even snapped the eazi-out in the body of the plug...
Ended up taking the head off and took it an engine reconditoners where they had to remove the broken eazi-out/plug body by spark erosion !!!
Price of this plug change was over £50 by the time I'd finished...
As has been said, it pays dividends to service vehicles on a reasonable frequency.......
