Very quick question to anyone who might know the answer here - I have a Jazz in th workshop right now, pre-MoT test, and the L/H door mirror repeater for the indicator is not working.
Is this a fail?
Cheers,

Fail...
Your Honda will not be too bad to do!
Nor is VAG wingmirror repeater.
If you want a pooh job - try one on a Merc E class - evil - clips that break - screw head you can't get to - without using a die grinder with long bit in it and melting the plastic removing the head that you can't get to.
--------------------
I doubt the Honda has a LED light - so you won't need the dealers for a "light pack" - (but I could be wrong - I often am!)

Thanks for all the replies - and I think I can remember now where the problem may stem;
The owner of the car has left it will me to fit in to my busy schedule, but the solution may not be quite as easy as some people would expect!! If I'm correct in my interpretation of the wiring diagram on A/D, the repeater lamp function is handled via the door mirror motor electrics - at the very least the same multiway connector.
This would be the same multiway connector I was forced to "pull" for this owner several months ago, as the mirror motor was going berserk, and she was about to set off on a long journey to her Mother's for several days. It was not clear at the time what was driving the motor, and so on the spur of the moment, I released the door trim and wind-cheater from inside the door, and simply disconnected the mirror motor. Silence then reigned, and the owner was very happy, so I adjusted the mirror for her manually to her satisfaction, and off she went.
So it seems a better diagnosis is now due on the mirror motor and/or drive circuits, otherwise I suspect the MoT will ellude this car for the first time in its history.

Just pick the feed and return wires from the plug both sides - cut and hard wire them to get the repeater function back. The return you cold even drop back to chassis earth if it was easier! You might have a cross over in the flexi squib from door frame to door. So picking out your feed to the idicator and leaving the others severed would make sense. To be honest - AD wiring diagrams seem to be laid out OK - what I find is with them - I need to use them on a huge desk top screen to see enough of them to make sense!

I save my RED highlighter pen for MOT failures.

I fitted this job in before my first scheduled job this morning - it only took 20mins to sort out, and most of that was battling with the silly armrest clipping that always puzzles me each time I take it off this Jazz.
The easiest way in the end was to snip the motor wires and isolate them in a way that they can be reinstated in the future (if required) on the door mirror side of the conector plug. I think that as this car has had more hits than the Beatles on its door mirrors both sides, and it is therefore probable that the mirror motor/s are smashed to smithereens inside, making repair a short-term thing......
The A/D diagram was as much use as a chocolate fireguard (once again) for the wiring colours on this harness, so I used the Unity clamp multimeter tester around the wires with the hazards on to work out which of the ground wires the lamp unit used - there are two black wires on the car side of the multiway, only one supplies the indicator.
Out of interest, the mirror side of the connector uses the pink and the purple wires for the indicator. I also looked closely at the indicator bulb through the lens, and I cannot be sure this isn't an LED - it's very difficult to tell - and therefore really is part of the mirror housing assembly.
