Looks great, toured south of France on one of those over 30 years ago, was utterly reliable and pretty comfortable too except a tendency for the vibration of the boxer engine to send your hands to sleep.
I see it has the racking for a Krauser luggage system on it just like mine had, have you got the top box and panniers to go with it?

Just landed here today..Bought from a family friend, been stored for 2 years.. A panzer, my mate’s pimping an R100rt into an r100rs at the mo, legndary reliability, change it to electronic ignition if it isn’t already, Moto-bins are about 10 miles up the road from me in Surfleet. The R80 is supposed to be less vibey through the bars than the r100. crack on, I should post some pics of my Vfr 750 I restored that I put on here, doing a 1984 Z750l4 at mo

A college friend of mine got knocked off one of those just outside the university in London - a wife of a diplomat, no less, drove straight into the side of him whilst exiting a side-road.
"I didn't see you!" was all she could say.
My mate was bigger, and heavier, than the bike he was riding, and he nearly launched the machine through her windscreen after that!

Just landed here today..Bought from a family friend, been stored for 2 years.. View AttachmentI’m sure Remington has one of those? Yes I do - mine is a bit newer - single rear shock - Black 1990 R80RT with starship mileage 98.000ish. I also have a Silver R1150RT 2004 - like new with less than 3k on the clock. Both sit redundant in my garage at home - while I ride to work on a modern C90 thing (Honda Wave 2014 AFS110i with about 10k on the clock). Don't ask me the logic of this - I have been sort of saving them to play with in retirement. But maybe I will be too old and too weak to lug the heavy old bikes about? I doubt wifey would go on the back now. But saying that - two years ago the town I live in ground to halt traffic wise - she rang me and I collected her - she left her car in carpark - I took a spare helmet and brought her home on the little Honda Wave. I like the flat boxer engine - some bikers refer to them as "tractors". Rhubarbs purchase looks good from the photos. He did tell me how much it was - and I did not think it was dear at all. I have had a lot of bikes in my time - I don't have them for joy riding - I have always used them for commuting. Mostly when I have lived and worked in/near cities. I took a Honda Pan European out a couple of weeks ago and did about 30miles on it - superb machine - not sure if I personally enjoyed it or not. It was a road test after an electrical repair in our workshop. I have taken my Russian fitters R1 out before and it just made my wrists and hands hurt. He now has traded it for a 2015 BMW R1000RR - it is unlikely I will take out this 200hp beast even if offered. Truthfully at our workshop I tend to avoid collecting/delivering and roadtesting big bikes now. I have of late ridden a few Honda SH300's - should I want/need another bike - I think this would the direction I would go for a purchase at my age/health/fitness.

Today I removed the float bowls and cleaned them and the carbs with brake cleaner. Drained off some of the old fuel. Chucked a gallon of fresh in. Jump leads and she fired straight up Rode it back and forth, clutch is good and smooth. New battery being delivered tomorrow.

The few SH300 Honda scooters I have rode of late - have had about the same performance of a Yamaha RD250LC I had in my youth. How things have moved on - grandads scooter has the performance of a sports bike from the 80's.

I quite fancy it, I have a Africa Twin but find it a bit big for trying to weave in and out of town traffic, plus the ability to park it anywhere and just throw the helmet in the top box just appeals.

I am so pleased with my little Honda AFS110i - It is so small I park it with cycles at the hospital/doctors.
