Well youd have problems getting it on a 4 post lift! I saw one last year being towed - rear lift on a spec. Didn't look even slightly safe They're rear drive, aren't they? Wouldn't have thought it'll be too bad to do sent from my HTC using proboards android app

I thought they were front drive? They are rear wheel drive with a front mid engine layout.

Quirky old things, wouldn't be surprised if it's easier to lift engine out

I've done one, quickest way is too put a load of padding down and turn it on its side, old mattresses work well rear wheel drive, engine and gearbox inline like any rear wheel drive car

Nobster and Dai are correct. I can recall a tastelessly customised one near us in the late 1970s with the period fad of a back to front fog lamp to light up the rear diff at night. Also what looks like an intrusive centre console is actually the engine/box farther back than in most cars. Suppose they'd be even less stable with the engine further forward.
Were there any FWD 3-wheelers other than the Bond Minicar, where the whole engine/box/front hub/brake assembly rotated almost 180 degrees instead of having a reverse gear?

I was gonna say that Top Gear Robin episode was the best one ever made. Way more fun than any super car shoot out. Brilliant.........when Clarkson drove it into the garage over the pit ;D
