Andrew Page Motor Factors (owned by Euros).
Have given all direct staff notice on there closed branches.
If you live in a town with an Andrew Page outlet and no Euro parts. Your Pages will now become Euros. If your town had both - the A Page branch will never reopen.
Not sure how may staff are affected?
I did read - a well written online publication from Euros (the parent company) stating this will reflect sales going forward. LKQ are now at risk of getting absorbed into the parent company as well.
A.Pages did have a long history in the UK - starting off as Camberley Auto Parts. But they have been in trouble before and were bailed out - bought by Euros a few years ago.
Only took ten weeks for redundancies to start - in the chain of supply of pattern parts.
I think the problem with the motortrade in general is - the margins are so low - any reduction of sales just kills companies dead - quickly!

I think there will be a lot of consolidation in the market as the smaller players close or get gobbled up. Locally we had a motor factors/accessory shop on Bala high street, however recently I noticed it had shut up shop. I then noticed that LVW/Rollings (a reasonably large chain in North East Wales/North West England) had opened a branch in an industrial unit further out of town with a sign saying "LVW Rollings incorporating JJ Motor Factors", so I'm guessing LVW are expanding by buying up smaller, independent firms.

Andrew Page was originally a Leeds based company and very well respected I worked in a garage next door to the first branch/head office they had a meteoric rise throughout Yorkshire in the 90s, long before the Camberley Auto Factors deal We used to say hello to him when he showed up in his Porsche 911 for meetings Nice enough bloke, I'm sure he is long retired, I knew the head Buyer quite well as I used to do his motors on the side

LVW/Rollings ... had opened a branch in an industrial unit further out of town with a sign saying "LVW Rollings incorporating JJ Motor Factors", so I'm guessing LVW are expanding by buying up smaller, independent firms. I would imagine that a premises further out would be cheaper to rent or buy, so LVW are also cutting costs by moving to a cheaper place.

We lost the local branch of Pages months ago, might have even been last year now.

Oh jeez, that's bad news. We've got a branch of each, and as a retail customer I find ECP prices often take the pi$$, even with their fake discounts. AP weren't a lot better but at least they were an alternative.
I miss the days when every town had a family run motor factors packed to the rafters with interesting bits...
