Look and feel a bit cheap and nasty (I think)
But if its a tidy car for the money then why not? It's likely to be as reliable if not more so than a corsa/Clio/fiesta etc ....
Cheap cars are in vogue are they not

i've read the reviews and i know it's not a jap car but for a first tidy runabout with full history and low mileage i would like think it will be reliable for them, her man runs clio's and corsa's and spent mucho money on them disregarding my servicing advice but she won't be going down that route hopefully.

Only thing that would put me off, would be parts availability and cost

IMO I would get something that's Euro NCAP safer like a Fiesta but within her budget. These Proton Savvy from what I know are not very comfortable. Are they not Mitsubishi running gear? I think the engines used are in the Clio and Twingo and the gearbox is similar.

We never had rear seat belts in the cars my old man drove when I were a nipper Let alone air bags I used to go to school in the back of a Vauxhall Viva HA van, all carpeted out mind ;D Bright green too, my Grandad sprayed it, you'd be blinded before you hit it ;D
