Covid 19 virus.
Been upping how many times I wash my hands.
I normally only wash my hands in cold water - have moved to hot water.
Now the end of my thumb has dried out and split open.
Maybe the lesser of two evils thou.

O Keefes working hands 😉 Totally agree with this stuff. www.okeeffesco.co.uk/products/okeeffes-working-hands/ Every winter I suffer from split finger tips and even on the joints. But a nightly application makes a real difference. Or I did suffer, now I am not getting exposed to so much weather and contaminants I am not suffering as bad as I was, but do still get split skin (finger tips) easily.

Girl who works for me - gave me half a tube of handcream today.
Wifey - on my return home - issued me a tube of Neutrogena Norwegian Formula.
Just googled O-Keeffes handcream - they sell it in Wickes - this is on my way to work - I will stop in and get some. Never heard of it - but will try it.
Truthfully couple of the pads on my left hand are raw...

I grab the wife’s moisturiser or kiddies skin cream
My hands really crack up if I’m not careful
The biggest trouble is remembering of an evening to apply moisturiser
I find it best last thing at night

I find that the Neutrogena can leave my hand feeling a little greasy after using but the O-Keeffes doesn't, but both work well, the Neutrogena I put into the cracks on the corners of my fingers at night and come morning there no where near as painfull.

I now have both Neutrogena and a small tub of O'Keeffes.
O'Keeffes stuff smells of ammonia. Been using both - left one at home and the other at work.
Not sure which one is working - but my hands are a lot better.

Mrs. Valhalla has previously sourced some fisherman's hand-cream from some sort of exotic supplier - it's all "natural". Irrespective of the green-credentials, it really does work, just goes in and sorts out dry and split hands overnight. Trouble is, we have run out of it now....and I don't know when we are getting some more.

I am a bit ashamed to say - I was in the "quick rinse in cold water" camp for handwashing. Maybe the by product of the Covid 19 scare - will be I wash my hands better - and don't catch normal coughs & colds in future years. I am amazed at the amount I touch my face - when I am conscious of trying not to...

Oddly my hands are terrible at the minute, had to try and get some hydrocortisone cream to settle them down. inflamed itchy red skin on lower fingers, 4 on right hand, 1 on left.
