Hi - decided to jump ship from the old Forum. Pity the way it went, but not a big surprise. I was sceptical about this one taking off, but it seeems to be working so far.
Must admit I haven't needed much advice for my modern cars recently - they've behaved well. But the Morris Traveller project's making progress again after I took a break to restore another group of run-down lock-up garages to keep and let out. Then there was a couple of domestic matters keeping me busy.
But I like to think the old mock Tudor thing's now about 80% rebuilt, and should be on the road this spring.

Running well with no recent probs at nearly 140K. Just wish we had more time to use its caravan towing potential.

I bet it's got loads of low down torque for towing? The best tow car I had was my old Citroen C5. The self levelling rear suspension m,eant the rear of the car was at normal height. Also, being the 2.2 denzil, it had plenty of grunt in it BTW, what caravan have you got?

About 20% lighter than a new 'van but with all the modern bits. You could tow it with something much less powerful. I really ought to get outside to replace the awning rail non-setting mastic, which makes you more messy than undersealing a car, and with the best weather forecast for months and a day off work this week I shouldn't put the job off any longer.
