2004 Vivaro 1.9cdti
When I first started it this morning there was no throttle response for about 15 seconds then all was fine.
Have not done anything about it but I presume it will happen again, anyone come across similar problems on vivaro/primastar/traffic?

ive had a cracked pedal box cause this, the van thinks your pressing the clutch!!! an injector that returns too much cause it. both on vivaros. on a picasso a brake pedal switch sticking caused it. on a fiesta dv6 not connecting up the turbo pipes and running engine caused it. you got access to live data? any fault codes?

Does it start quickly or does it take a bit of cranking? Been out to a few with slight leaks on the fuel filter head letting a little bit if air in

I do have access to live data yes but it started fine this morning, its my van. It always starts straight away but when I started it yesterday it started straight away and maybe idled a bit low for a few seconds.
I have noticed the very odd time when coming to a stop and dip the clutch the revs drop like its going to stall but doesn't and idles normal then again.
Airflow meter was replaced maybe over a year ago with OE as there was rain water leaking onto airbox.
It gets serviced every 6-8k miles so fuel filter seals were replaced not too long ago, also cleaned egr around same time as preventive maintenance.
I always have my foot on the clutch when starting the van
I hope its not an injector or fuel pump!

Clutch switch could well be broken, have a nosey at it..It's above the pedal.
Quite cheap to buy...Fitted one a while back..Switch, and then bit joining it breaks!

My brothers Vivaro did something similar before dying altogether. A code scan yielded a rogue code for O2 sensor (P0032) which it didn't have.
The cause was the fuel primer bulb had a split in its side....
