My Alfa only gets to 70, which is normal operating temp according to other owners on the Alfa forum If I let it idle from cold, the temp guage doesn't move, even if left for an hour ;D ;D Nice cars the ML270cdi

Anyone know how to get the battery out then? Obviously the metal surround has to come out...There's a plastic tab, one bolt and the front is held on with 2 lugs, but I can't seem to shift it

Job done, runs a lot smoother now..Temp is sat at 90 degrees. Back to it next week to sort out the washer jets, going to remove and clean them cos they are £23.50 plus vat each and there's 4 of them! Not risking snapping them in this temperature!

I have tipped hot water over rubber hoses and plastic connectors in the past in the hopes it would make them easier to seperate, but I think it's more age that makes all the plastic bits brittle than temperature itself. That said there's nothing more satisfying than fixing something you were expecting to have to throw away!
