So I used their services again 2+ years ago I bought a 2014 Golf estate 2L tdi for £5500 from BCA Manchester. The car had just had 4 tyres, new brakes all around as well as timing belt and waterpump. I fitted a pair of wipers, a pair of tyres and a minor service at a local indy. It was a good car, drove better than a lot with half the mileage I've driven to replace it. Now due another service, another pair of tyres, aircon fix and a battery before the winter I decided to WBAC it for £4400 It went to BCA Manchester and was entered to 4 or 5 online sales before it sold on tuesday. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265324706484?hash=item3dc695bab4:g:4CkAAOSwQ0thSt3-They are joking asking that for it given the mileage.. You did well getting what you did from that crowd! Used car prices are up 20% in the last 4 months according to the news last week

the auction houses own the 2 major de-fleeting companies that advertise on tv plus the major buy in one, they cherry pick what they want & let the rest go to the block where everyone else is now having to pay retail money to buy in & hopefully make a profit glad i don't sell cars, no money left in it at my level. clever business model, wish i'd thought of it

I did it for years and did well for years - now I can't see how anybody at my level can prep/sell/warrant and earn out of it. It will end up as the big players/auction house/online selling the good stuff and then loads and loads of part timers selling on ebay/facebook pretending not to be dealers - selling without warranty - avoiding taxes and the VAT margin scheme for car trading. When looking at car prices - I can believe there is a 20% rise in used car prices. Shortages are good for the retail motortrade new and used. Shortage of some types of vehicles (vans) have led to new van prices going thru the roof and limited models being offered (smaller range is good for car factories it ups the margin they earn).

It’s a better car than many I’ve driven with half the miles. I’ve been off sick for 3 months and I’m now on SSP. The cars isn’t being used ( I still have 5 more) and going forward I’ll probably need an auto. I’ve just seen an 8 year old Hyundai IX35 make £7400 plus fees at the auctions, quite mad atm

Feet have been sore for a long time - 12 hour shifts in a dairy, non slip boots and hard floors. X-rays show no arthritis in the left foot but hurts a lot in heavy traffic atm, improving with physio and a heel cup from a podiatrist. Not even 55 yet - should have worked harder at school lol

It’s the longest break I’ve had since I left school, I could get used to it lol
