Afternoon all. Would anyone know how to reset the oil degradation warning on a 2.0 TD Vauxhall Antara 58 plate. Has a permanent fault code for this, says it is erased but it's not, comes back straight away. Both Snap On Solus Pro and Launch scanners can't do it (both up to date software). No option with either scanner to reset the degradation side of it, service reset seemingly is done with trip reset button etc! Main dealer will do it with Tech 2 for £30, but with all these expensive scanners I have here surely it must be possible? Thanks in advance.

I'm surprised they would reset the oil degradation with no evidence of an actual oil/filter change?

We changed oil and filter a while back according to customer (looking in our records turns out to be July 2012!!) Vehicle has only done 2500 miles since, but with DPF system it could of quite easily ruined the oil in that mileage with a few regens. As said above, will get vehicle back in, change oil and filter and see if I can find a reset option, if not I guess it will be the dealer.

Turn on the ignition light display panel without starting the engine and then press the accelerator pedal twice to the floor and the light might go out.

I think I tried that method, can't be sure as tried several 'versions' of button and pedal pushing. Will certainly add it to my list of things to try when we get vehicle back for oil and filter change!

Its the brake pedal that needs pushing as opposed to the accelerator pedal, isn't it?

Its the brake pedal that needs pushing as opposed to the accelerator pedal, isn't it? Had this back in today. Went through all the menus on the Solus Pro, nothing. Went through all the menus on the Launch, nothing. Tried the throttle pedal method, nothing. Tried the brake pedal method, nothing. Got frustrated with it, tried the throttle and brake pedal together, at last, success. Not sure exactly if it was correct but seems to of done the trick. Thanks for the advice everyone.
