2010 peugeot 207 electrical circuit fault

Hi All 
Above is a problem I had while driving my above car which 1.6 Litre petrol motor

I had my lights on and all of a sudden electrical circuit fault flashed which cut off the a/c and the battery lights came. 
After I had turned off the motor and turned on again everything was fine and started working again, however about 10 mins it did this again

I did some turn off and turn on, however this drained the battery and on my last stop had to jump start the car. 
Since then I arrived home and have turned on the car after about 9 hrs and everything is working fine. 

Can someone please let me know what might be the problem.

Check charging , it's probably the alternator that's about to give up.

This really helped me alot. I had similar issues with my 2005 Peugeot 307. The mechanic confirmed it to be the fault of the alternator too. Because i came across this post, i guessed the fault before i got to him.
