A guy i work with who also had a passat told me his fans would come on when he started the engine from cold first thing in the morning, switching the engine off and on again would stop them,never did it before the 'fix'. If he had the aircon on the fans will run on slow speed, I'm talking about running on after the car is locked up on the drive after returning home. |

Update, My dad tells me he has had a refund from vw of £780 for the egr valve he had replaced at a independant diesel specialist back in january even though he no longer owns the car and it was repaired at a non francised dealer using an aftermarket part (although it was originaly diagnosed by one but they wanted a lot more money) Happy days  |
