Looking for an experienced automotive technical expert (predominantly road cars) who has knowledge of the following:
1. Experience with some / any combination of the following makes - GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, Hyundai, Mazda, VW
2. Should be able to develop part breakdown prediction algorithms based on past experience
3. Should be able to develop preventative maintenance schedules like Oil Changes, Serpentine Belt service etc..based on past experience for various Car Makes and Models
The following knowledge is good to have, but is not mandatory:
4. Decipher engine sensor messages (DTC) for faults in the Power train, Chassis, Body and Network
5. Experience with SAE and ISO (11 Bit and 29 Bit ) protocols and understands the structure of data returned from car sensors (Header/PCI/DataBytes/CheckSum etc..)
6. Analyze OBD-II compliant car data gathered over an ELM-327 circuit across all available sensors and predict possible issues with the car to a high degree of probability. (There are no Trouble Codes (DTC's) generated yet, but looking at the data, perform predictive prognosis of possible upcoming issues.)
7. Experience with Non-Standard PID's
8. Perform verification of results derived from computer software that analyzes car data.
9. Some experience using computers.
This job DOES NOT involve actual hands on work on defective automobiles. Instead, it involves analysis of data, and making recommendations.
