We have the same bother in our street due to a "mechanic" he used to park up to 7/8 cars in the street and cause mayhem, I reported any without road tax and someone let the tyres down on the others, now before anyone thinks that's harsh he claims ESA for being an alcoholic, has no lisense, insurance and regulary drink drives, he doesn't park them here anymore.

I have a habit of leaving cars around the corner of my house, I had a Ml and a s class dumped over the road so was relieved when I seen it was a mx-5 haha.
I'd probably go nice on him or ask him to move it, only because I dump cars everywhere haha.

People don't mind generally speaking, but when they become landmarks and never move they do make day to day life more awkward.

When neighbors are on good terms with each other everyone gets along just fine, but there is always going to be one that will spoil it for all. My drive (exceptional) I suppose allows up to six vehicles to be parked on it, and because we are good neighbors we don't get those problems, and if I require additional space for my van, my neighbor over the road lets me park on his farm. It's all well and good reporting people and everyone getting everyone's backs up, but neighbors need to respect each other and get along peacefully. My neighbors if necessary can park on my drive so long as they don't have any serious oil leaks.

What if the HGV that couldn't access the street wasn't a refuse truck, but a fire engine ?
If the emergency services would have a problem accessing the street because of that car then it's time to make that call.....

If its causing an obstruction, its time to be pro-active........

Lorries unable to turn around because it was parked in the turning point. Mazda has been reported, not by me though.

People seem to get very possessive about the space on the road outside their house. Its funny you should say that, my car was parked 6 houses up from where we live at 10PM Sunday, the house owner (mortgagee? and the number one suspect for snapping off my rear wiper) knocked on my door at 5PM Monday asking if I'd move my car (I was due to go to work at 6PM anyway). The couple opposite are having their aging conservatory replaced so both of their cars are parked in the road in the daytime preventing me from moving it to park outside our house so I didn't bother. MX5 still hasn't moved Any Update Digger?
