I don't think they're any worse than the banks.
For example, think of the increasingly popular company restructure, solely carried out to jetison the more expensive 'indispensable' employees. Years of blue-chip credit counts for nothing once the bank starts piling £1000s in charges on. They make Wonga look like a Saint in these circumstances.
They're all crooks looking for victims to rape.
On a more interesting banking note, I wonder if Adam Applegarth ever shagged Ms Smithson on a bed of pound notes.

Don't have Wonga in this country but we see their adverts on TV. It seems to me that their strategy is to insinuate (allegedly) that their loans are harmless just like the three old dears in the advert. Very misleading and dangerous for people who are desperate or have no financial sophistication.
BTW: did you know that a wonga is a large Australian pidgeon?

Saw a tv ad for one of these companies, and for a split second I thought to myself only 500% Apr, that's quite good Well I suppose it is compared to some of them. Went to see my bank manager last week. 3 years left til I'm debt free now, instead of 5. And paying less per month too sent from my HTC using proboards android app
