My cousin owns a vectra 1.9 CDTI and its playing up. Randomly it'll loose power and refuse to rev above about 2,000 RPM. It will then clear and the car will pull fine.
It did throw an air leak code up, but we can't find one and the EGR looks clear. It has had a front impact at some point and the ambient air temp sensor is not working, could this cause issues?

I'll let him know. I think he's going to get it looked at properly. It needs live data really.

Have a look for a small split or minute hole(s) in or around the air hose where it pressurises the solenoid for the turbo.

I think this has the Fiat engine? same as saab? I think these suffer with inlet manifold problems,mainly the linkage bar falls off the butterfly operating arms due to the butterflys becoming blocked solid with gunge.We fitted a new manifold recently to cure one of these.Look at the linkage and connector joints on inlet manifold,maybe you will see the problem.
