I would hold back wheelnut you haven't got the new replacement alloys yet. Funboy Three: "Our lips are sealed"... I don't get it! Anyway, the alloys arrived and were fitted on Friday. They swapped my set of tyres onto the new wheels, I suppose a compensatory set of new tyres would have been too much to hope for. Here's a pic of the blistering (apologies for the brake dust):

What I was meaning by the song is you may get told something but it doesn't always turn out what was promised.Doddy song Spud. A lot of people don't realise he had a big number 1 hit when I was a youngan.

Ah yes, I remember Doddy in the hit parade. It was kind of embarressing for us young things who thought the hit parade was for people like Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich or Esther and Abi Ofarim. If you don't ask you don't get. I would have. You might not be so brave if you saw the battle-axe at the service desk of the dealer. I just quit while I was ahead.

Can't be any worse than the Social worker who got both barrels of me recently. She no like it. Trouble is I ask to many questions and they are used to getting their own way and doing what they want which is parrot fashion working IMO instead of looking at people's individual needs.

Has it gone right through? Sometimes you can be lucky, it could be a short tack or the nail may have travelled sideways, you just have to pull it out to see. It looks very near the shoulder, do you think it can be repaired?

Yes I think it has as I blew it up this morning and just been out to it and it's going down again. I've left the screw in it as if I was to remove it there's no way it would hold pressure to safely drive (30 MPH tops) to my mates garage (b*gger doesn't work Sunday's ) and see what he says? I recon it's 50/50 based on this image of minor/major repair area Attachment Deleted based on if there's any bead or other internal damage we can't see. There's plenty of tread on the tyre as you can see and the tyres only four years old I've checked the Manufacturers buid code so it's not age deterioration. I'm not going to risk it if it needs a new tyre so be it (I've got a spare SP4 in my garage so I'll throw it in the boot just incase it's a NO.

Good start to the day. And some b****rd has gone and drawn all over your tyre, as well..... I reckon you might just get away with it, plenty of rubber there for a plug and a good vulcanized repair.

Attachment DeletedNot a good picture but if you look closely you can see the screw has gone though a good inch where I have highlighted it. I'm not taking a risk with a repair that may open up at some point as it's right near the tyre shoulder and could have disastrous consequences.

The red area on the shoulders is where the metallic fabrics ends, the blue sections are within the metallic fabrics so a repair here is reinforced by them.
