Is that not illegal? Are you asking for free subcription to sky? Or want to just set it up as a free view player?
Anyone know any cable guys who do cash in hand

She We already have Sky+ HD, I wondered if there was an alternative? hotbird or something? I don't have a second dish, but I know where there is one but that will need a double LNB and some satelite stations will need a larger dish etc I've installed satelite way back when they had the 600mm dishes, I'm just not sure what's available now

I think you need a sky+ subscription to enable recording, but for plain reception of all the free to air channels you can just plug in and go. Without the £20 card you'll get BBC1 london, BBC2 england and ITV Central (birmingham). Have a look at the LNB fitted to your normal dish to see if its a double output LNB or a Quad (four output). If there's a spare output just run some satellite coax (shielded stuff) to the number 1 input on the sky+ box, if your not wanting to use the record function there's no need to connect owt to the no 2 input. If you've got no feeds spare then you can find a quad LNB quite easily. If you want other satellites the sky+ box can be manually tuned but it's not a very slick interface. You can however get mounts for sky minidishes that pick up other satellites to get free F1 coverage (In German). Check out www.satcure.co.uk for more info.

I'm very happy with my freesat setup. We can get a good freeview signal here but as we're on a relay mast we don't get all the freeview channels. A good spread of channels for a one-off payment and the Humax recorder I'm using is connected to my network so I can watch recorded films and change channels on my laptop and phone anywhere in the house.
