Looking back it was just mental, but it must have been an exciting spectacle. I grew up in the classic rallying country of Mid Wales and saw my fair share of Group A and WRC cars, I can't imagine how mental a Group B motor would be on the same roads.

I watched it, I saw Group B cars pass through Leeds on a road section on that years RAC Rally on the way up to Harewood House. Dont like the current WRC format, Rallying needs to get back to its roots and go back to the 6 day marathons day/night stages. The new cars like the Fiesta and DS3 are great, but £500,000 plus support for each event? ?

Charming ;D You know I'm only jesting. That era was mental with the power and speed them cars could do.
