2009 1.4 ,32,000mls,no service history, picked it up tonight running with a slight mis-fire but no eml light, scanned with cheapo but nothing present,i suspect it may be on the original plugs so may be the culprit as would expect coil pack to last a little longer than 32,000mls,however i was checking for loose leads and plugs and when i removed the airbox there was a fair bit of oil around the seal at the throttle body, none in actual airbox itself and butterfly had a bit of oil aswell,is this normal as since probably not/never been serviced in a while is this just a build up or something more serious,i will clean throttle body in morn incase that's the problem but hoping not

Yes oil around inlet/throttle is normal

Thanks for that, went out and had another look as it was bugging me,turns out it's just the coil pack which again worries me slightly at the mileage but i suppose nothing lasts nowadays, needs a good full service then a nice bit of profit for me hopefully, phew, happy as larry now

My previous grande punto didn't put the EML on when I ran it with the EGR disconnected. No codes came back with a handheld cheapie scanner, but a few showed when scanned with Fiat-specific software.

Misfires/coilpacks can wipe out the ecu on these
