Fear over folks
The clutch, exhaust, brakes and roll bar links come in at just under $200
So plus a couple of tyres and a service bits the cost isn't as much as I feared
Only thing I've not ordered is the fuel filler neck could only get a genuine one and its £130 !
So I'll search for a good used one

No really I'd fancy a little tut tut like brummy a skoda which does 99 mpg I don't care to much for what I drive or style etc Thing is budget would only stretch to max of $1000 and what can you get for that? Not much So I'd be buying another shitter Which would need work Think ill get a push bike in your possition i would definatley stick with the focus yes i love my skoda but to get one in similar condition to mine you would need £2000 minimum only 2 1.2 fabia's available round your way both 12v, which have the more troublesome engine than my 6v I've removed your Autotrader link because you put his postcode in for the world to see!

i always think better the devil you know - at least you know what needs sorting on yours. Whatever else you get for the money you're talking would need at least the same amount fo work and probably a whole lot more Reckon I'll keep the old Astra until it disintigrates around me
