I had no luck with the meguires kit,the only bit that i found any good was the drill attachment, the liquid wouldn't touch them in the slightest i now wet sand them with various grades of wet and dry and finish off with g3 on the meguires drill attachment, did a clio the other day that was really bad and they came up like brand new using this method. The owner was really pleased with the result.

I did give them a quick going over with a clay bar first, forgot to mention that yesterday.

Dont forget UV protection after the process as they may start to go cloudy again.

I polish them up afterwards for protection,i just found the plastx stuff in the kit to be useless, no abrasion at all.

I was down the scrappy yesterday and got chatting to this bloke about different scrapyards around the place. On walking out he said you can have my Vectra c 1.9 cdti 150 bhp for £1500. It was bogging, covered in scratches and dents and he pointed to the cloudy yellow headlamps and said, see these will come up great with a bit of toothpaste There were better condition cars stacked up inside the scrap yard!!

I have heard of tooth paste, but haven't tried it myself.

Does it have to be a special type of toothpaste? I'm actually being serious (for a change)
Sensitive teeth toothpaste, which is designed to fill small holes in teeth to fill the scratches on the lens
Whitening or smokers toothpaste that is slightly abrasive?
Or Asda smart price that is nice and cheap

I like using that arm and hammer stuff on my chops ( it's like cleaning your teeth with grit )
But only when it's on a special offer
Supermarket cheap stuff normally

Yeah I heard about the toothpaste as well but these things needed burning Denture toothpaste? You'd have to test it for grittiness. I've used t cut with good results though.

Just use very fine wet and dry, then G3 compound with a small polisher and they'll come up great
