We all know about the jobs to avoid, how awkward stuff is becauser of no thought or care at the design stage, or being cynical designing it awkward so it goes to a garage and prefereably the dealer etc. But how about some of the jobs that are so simple you wish others would copy them. Example, cabin filter on suzuki swift (2008). I did it sitting in the passenger seat, with no tools and it took about 2 minutes . 206 cabin filter was easy I thought; but this beat it. Other nominations? VW/Audi ball joints

I find it interesting how variable brake pad changes can be, considering how routine changing them is for any vehicle. I like the one's you can slot them into without removing the caliper. The old Rover ones weren't bad, the way the calipers swung up on a single mounting bolt - not sure whether they kept it on the later ones.
