Well after all the aggro I've had with our 54 plate Fiesta, decided to take the plunge and buy a new car........ After 2 hours at the dealers we went for a new Fiesta Zetec with the 82ps engine....Should go a bit! Anyone got any experiences of this model? I'll post up a piccy or two when we pick it up this weekend (hopefully), but Im sure y'all know what a Fezzie looks like.......... I'll probably have a timing belt kit ( belt, idler, crank pulley, crank bolts( both sizes just incase) ) up for grabs if anyone wants to make me an offer? ( Didnt get round to fitting it, all in orig Ford box)

What was wrong with your old fiesta ? Did you drive an 1.0 ecoboost ? KarlB, The old Fiesta is getting on a bit being a 54 plate and tbh I'm a bit concerned with the front springs goign again...Yeah I know, shuddaused Ford parts, well I did for the shockers and the top bearings but the springs were patterns.... but....it needs a new front o/s brake hose ( not a big deal...) its showing signs of rust around the floor pan and chassis members, especially on the offside and it does need the timing belt doing (65544 miles, I did have a go at doing some time back but succeeded in rounding the crank bolt.... Havent driven an ecoboost...didnt fancy another 3 pot motor after the offering we had from Vx...( Yuck!!!!) Please dont shop me to Fords for my sins....

Fair enough.
2002-2008 fiesta doesn't suffer from corrosion really ?
They don't seem to rust like ka,fiesta, puma of old
The current fiesta drives nice and overall is well put together
I take it you've gone for a 1.4 petrol

Nope,
Went for the 1.25 82 PS version....Should be 'sporty' enough....Hopefully with better performance than the 1.2 Corsa we had......that was woeful....
