Changed the oil & filter on my Range Rover P38A auto gearbox today, the sump came off ok but the filter was a sod retained by 3 2 1/2 " bolts with torx t25 heads, I damaged 6 sealey torx adaptors trying to undo them finished up loosen them with a chisel I replaced them with hexagon headed bolts, don't think its been changed from when it was fitted new 27 years ago.

I've twisted a few Torx bits - until I came across the Wera Zyklop bits, never had an issue since.

Thanks OldGit I may give um a try, although I am retired now and only work on my Rovers & a few family cars and at nearly 86 I don't know how much longer I will be able to keep up with the spanners but its scroming under cars that keep me going, its ok getting down & under them its getting back up that's the problem
