I won lots of Milwaukee lighting 2.5 years ago, it’s all still boxed.
Now is the time to get rid of it- I’ll never use it!
There are m12 and m18 batteries, all still sealed, will storing them with out charging them affect them?

I think not….
Lion batt chemistry is such that they have very low internal resistance hence low self discharge.
Should still be good to go.

dunno but milwaikee is good stuff only problem is the price I've got Milwaukee hand power tools, it's how I ended up winning £4ks worth of battery lighting, but there's no way of testing a "new" battery as it then becomes used?

Can’t you advertise them as ‘ brand new in packet, tested for functionality’ ?
I guess it comes down to price and what folk want to gamble on….in which case they go buy a brand new one with a guarantee…
but even after 2 yrs the batteries will still be good…unlike nicads, they tend to develop internal shorts ( dendrites, small crystalline structures formed from the chemicals used in the cell structure ) have memory effects and such…

The lights are advertised as new old stock.
Someone somewhere months ago said Li batteries that had stood would be of reduced capacity, which didn’t make much sense at the time, but I’m no expert.
An M18 4AH battery lasts me for ever, a 12AH. would toke me a lifetime to use up a single charge

We had a Milwaukee drill that we had ordered but never unpacked it for at least 2 years, battery dead, gave it a few volts from our regulated power supply now all good.
