Most food poisoning isn’t food at all, keys, money, mobile phone all dirtier than a toilet seat. Toilet door handles too. Always wash your hands after touching any of that and your eyes, nose mouth etc let alone eating Never put any of that in your mouth…. I’ve seen a young woman with baby do that this morning with her keys, she’ll kiss her child 20 times today… Not forgetting cash machine keypads. The amount of people that draw money out then buy/eat takeaway food without washing or sanitising their hands is unreal.

Norovirus not nice at all, wife had it during COVID and was very poorly. I also agree we make things worse sometimes by trying to achieve germ free completely, I used to play out as a kid with engines, wildlife, garden etc and never heeded advice to wash hands much! Was hardly ever ill. I seem to have very strong immunity as a result, or maybe just lucky. I get the odd bout of the runs if I have too much rich food or something, but never throw up. Last time that happened was over 35 years ago now- wife thinks I’m a freak as never thrown up all the time we’ve been married, she couldn’t even give me Norovirus! Famous last words of course….😕 I too never throw up - odd fast trip for poop. Too much rich food or lots of fruit - and I only gotta have a tiny bit of raw grated beetroot on a salad and I am empty with four hours. Gin an tonic has the same effect - not sure if it is the Juniper berries or what tonic water is make out of. I have had housefull of kids and missus in my time - queing for toilets - and I been clearing up afer them - and I am still OK. I put it down to having dirty hands at work - all my life getting the germs down me daily. ----------- Only once I have thought I wanted to die - seafood that must have been off - for first few hours I was scared I was gonna die - then it got so bad - I was preying I would just die and it would all be over (Paella in Spain on holiday - traped in non air conditioned room in the early 90's)

I'd also ad, starve yourself for 24 hours, just water only. Then eat dry toast or a cracker, see if it stays in. "feed a cold - starve an infection" What do you do with these new modern virus type things? Some nasty "bugs" about of late...! You export them out to the world from your Chinese laboratory, then deny that you ever knew anything about it, even though you had been developing vaccines for the same thing 2-weeks prior to the world "knowing anything about it".

Whe shall call you "Baked Potato Peter" and the rustling of tinfoil will be your fanfare as you arrive. Not sure if I need "tin foil" to protect my brain. Or...? (I am serious now). Watch less mainstream news - I think too much of it - is not good for you. ------- Not good at explaining myself - but "shelter myself from the onslaught of subjecting myself to too much media for the masses"

Not sure if I need "tin foil" to protect my brain. Just remember that to avoid CIA mind control satellites the tinfoil needs a good earth spike for the full Faraday Cage effect Or...? (I am serious now). Watch less mainstream news - I think too much of it - is not good for you. ------- Not good at explaining myself - but "shelter myself from the onslaught of subjecting myself to too much media for the masses"Unfortunately the sensationalism of news has been turned up to 11 over the last few years. That's not to say there aren't decent options out there, but so many stories now are designed either to come higher in web searches, make you want to click on them to drive ad revenue or simply to push the agenda of the publishers' owners/controllers it can get overwhelming. That said, even the US is seeing pushback on this. Fox News (Murdoch's right-wing cable news behemoth) has just had to settle a lawsuit with a voting machine company over untrue stories they pushed on their network regarding the last American Presidential Election. The settlement is nearly eight hundred million dollars, which is an absolutely crazy amount of money.

But is the damage already done before the huge amount of money is spent - the money never puts it right! Or am I being dumb here... The election was flawed as a media mogul interfered with it. The damage to society is done. Fining the person may stop him doing it again - but the world moves on with social effects on the interferring input. I am "rambling" - I don't explain myself very well...

]But is the damage already done before the huge amount of money is spent - the money never puts it right! Or am I being dumb here... The election was flawed as a media mogul interfered with it. The damage to society is done. Fining the person may stop him doing it again - but the world moves on with social effects on the interferring input. I am "rambling" - I don't explain myself very well... The lawsuit wasn't about the election itself, but rather Fox News' coverage of it In short, Donald Trump and his followers claimed that the electronic voting machines used in the 2020 US Presidential Election were tampered with to make him lose, and that Dominion voting systems (who supplied the machines) were involved. Short answer: No they weren't. It didn't happen. The election itself was fine. What happened then was that as Fox News needed to keep its Trump supporting audience happy, its hosts asserted these "voting machines were tampered with" lies over and over on the air. In the face of this nonsense, the voting machine company sued Fox News for defermation to the tune of about a billion dollars as resitution for the damage done to their company's reputation. and during the build-up to this case it became very clear that pretty much everyone at Fox News (hosts/editors) knew the stories were fake, but kept going anyway to keep their audience on side. At the last minute, Fox News offered to settle the lawsuit for the $780m or so they're having to pay The reasoning behind the court case is that unlike in the UK, US TV news can spin a story/be totally one-sided in its coverage unless it says something untrue. However the only recourse that there is against the broadcasters is to sue them, and the voting machine company in this case had a slam-dunk case which has shown how blatantly US broadcasters will lie to keep giving their audience what they want
