You know what rhyds the price of cars at the moment I would keep the Focus. I have the same model but prefacelift, I'm gonna have the front wings replaced next year and the next dry weekend its getting the lanoguard treatment.
I think it may need a egr valve at some point but other than that, its absolutely spot on and if someone said you need to go to the other end of the country right now I would have no hesitation or doubts it would get me there with good economy too.

I had an Auris Hybrid for 2 odd years again faultless only reason I traded it in was the trade in offer on a C-HR was to good to refuse otherwise I would have kept it for another few years. Neighbour 3 doors from me had a C-HR....said it was a pile of crap....traded it back for summat else.. Poor mileage on leccy and even worse on petrol...Either her driving style or she got a duffer imho.. They won't ever do more than a mile on the Hybrid battery and I get between 60 and 80 to the gallon, and on a long run fast motorway or duel carriageway 65 ish. What do people want??

Mine is behaving itself, but I think the rear suspension needs sorting as the alignment bolts are seized and its been set "as close as possible", but I'm a bit unsure about dropping that kind of cash in to what is now a 12 year old car. That said, as you say, tis a solid car that's been very good to me, so there's no urgency to change it, however I'll need to make the decision as to how much I'm going to spend on it. For example the exhaust is getting very crusty and flaky by now, and I'm torn between the long-term solution (Stainless system) or short term (mild steel).

So you be looking a few hundred quid to address your concerns as opposed to that every month or 2 Mines on 96k, orig exhaust.
